She is a Lawyer and founder of Law & Life Project Oman.

Maimuna is an Omani Lawyer, Academic, Media Figure and Founder of Law & Life Project.
She is an active senior corporate Executive and leader in the Sultanate of Oman.
She is awarded AlMar’a Excellence Award for Corporate Leadership 2014 and is listed as Best 100 In House Legal Counsels in the Middle East by LEGAL500 in 2015. She also is a TV Anchor for a legal weekly show called “#RightsReserved” and has a weekly radio live show both in Arabic. She is the Founder of Law& Life Project which publishes a monthly legal magazine and a weekly page with Observer. After receiving her bachelor’s degree from the University of Jordan in 1999, she continued her educational path Studying for her post-graduate degree in one of the most prestigious law schools in the United Kingdom, Glasgow University, and graduated in the year 2004. This was after obtaining scholarships on both the undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels. Maimuna has gained a high-tech educational background being among the first handful of Omani women who have travelled overseas attaining their education from some of the most prominent universities in the world. She highly believes that one should keep updating their knowledge and pursued her postgraduate degree acquiring an LLM Masters in Law.


RELEVANT EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS:


Maimuna has pursued a very successful career in law and some of her highlights have included being the first Omani at all, lecturing in the Sultan Qaboos University in Business Law in 2004. Some of her experience encompasses heading the legal affairs funtion in the banking sector and Telecommunications industry. Her expertise also includes working in research and investigations on behalf of a Government Ministry. Maimuna established the first legal bilingual magazine in the Middle East called "Law & Life Magazine" in association with the Government Oman news & publishing House. She edits a weekly page with the same name at Daily Observer. Maimuna is a member in Chevening scholarship Alumni since 2004, Fellow in the John Smith Trust since 2012. She is now the only Omani female holding the position of Head of Legal in the banking, financial service and private sector in the Sultanate of Oman.
